The Grateful Dead were originally named The Warlocks.Note the Masonic pillars and Eye of Horus in their first poster.
Bob Weir has openly discussed his membership in the Bohemian Grove on video:
Both the San Francisco Chronicle and Mickey Hart's neighbor say that Hart is also a member of one of the most elite camps at the Grove.
Their connections to MK-ULTRA and the intelligence community are also well documented, see:

Joe Atwill and Jan Irvin of LogosMedia discuss the Grateful Dead's ties to the intel community - and so much more. This is a rousing cry for citizens and local politicians to investigate and get involved in exposing the effects of these covert psychological operations. Atwill says, "What we have as history is structured as mind control."
Jan at Gnostic Media did an excellent series on how the CIA created the 1960s Counterculture. His co-author, Joe Atwill also did a good article on Freemasonic connections and symbolism surrounding Ken Kesey, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and The Grateful Dead, as well as their connections to the CIA’s MK-ULTRA project.

Their Masonic connections are a little harder to pin down. But its influence is undeniable.
In the Unspun #24 episode (above) Joe Atwill says that Hank Harrison said that Dead member, Phil Lesh, is a third degree Master Mason.
Two years after their formation the Dead played the Portland Masonic Temple in 1967.
In 1978, the Dead performed for three nights at the Great Pyramid of Giza. Phil Lesh (a reported Mason, see above) took credit for organizing the project.
They played a show at the World's largest Masonic Temple on January 21, 1979.
The Dead played another interesting venue in 1969 called the Twin Cities' "Labor Temple" in Minneapolis. This building illustrates that for every formal Masonic lodge there are countless quasi-Masonic fraternal organizations and demonstrates just how much overlap there is between these groups and how much their influence permeates our entire society.

The Grateful Dead’s former manager, Hank Harrison is also rock star Courtney Love’s father. He wrote a bio called, The Dead: A Social History of te Haight-Ashbury Experience in 1972. He published a new introduction to the book on, “Samhain 1985” An occultic Ourobouros graces the cover. On another version a Phoenix that also looks like a feathered serpent. It is now available, free for download on Hank’s website:
Harrison opens the book by stating the historical and cultural milieu of the Grateful Dead and the Haight-Ashbury flower children were a coalescence of Hermetic (also citing Tarot and Kabbalah), Christian / Quaker, Buddhist, with a dose of medieval socialism, and a “pre-colonial form of Freemasonry. ”

There is a recording of the show posted at Archive.org
The description reads in part:
The show occurred in the Main Theatre of the Masonic Temple, one of the finest public halls in the United States, having a seating capacity of about 4,500 that produced a very intimate contact between audience and stage. The decorative treatment of the auditorium has considerable detail adapted from the Venetian Gothic, and the general tone is gold which has been enlivened with red and blue to produce a quiet richness of color seldom attempted in this type of work. A great deal of careful study was given to the acoustical treatment of this room which has produced an auditorium where the hearing qualities are perfect from every seat. This is the only time the Grateful Dead played this theatre.

Note the Masonic pillars and imagery used for this particular show's poster.
City records show that the building at 111-117 Fourth Street that became known as the Labor Temple received a building permit for an 88 x 166 sq. ft. lodge building in 1923, which was very close to when the Masonic Temple next door was built. In 1929 it was referred to on the permit card as an “R.C. Lodge,” with club rooms, a store, and a hall. In 1930 there was an entry for an undertaker (as there was in the Masonic Building next door), and was possibly a dwelling in 1936.
R.C. is usually shorthand in occult circles for Rosicrucian. The Grateful Dead often use roses in their artwork.
In 2016, a Masonic blogger posted some photos of the Grateful Dead in “Masonic contexts.”

In 2012, Dead guitarist, Bob Weir, remodeled the old Masonic Hall in his San Francisco Bay Area home town, Mill Valley, and made it the new location of a nationally known music club, The Sweetwater Music Hall. He is quoted in the Marin Independent Journal as saying: "Well, our clubhouse is back — and it belongs to all of us. Woo-hoo — Mill Valley finally has its playpen back!"
Being that he is also a member of the Bohemian Club, I think that this is reflective of the "club culture" mentality of the elite class within which I grew up and refer to in my auto-biographical series, "Life in the Shadow of Mt. Diablo: The Political and Spiritual Geography of San Francisco's Beast Bay".

Modern Art was CIA 'weapon' | The Independent (U.K.)
Oct 21, 1995 – For decades in art circles it was either a rumour or a joke, but now it is confirmed as a fact. The Central Intelligence Agency used American modern art - including the works of such artists as Jackson Pollock, Robert Motherwell, Willem de Kooning and Mark Rothko - as a weapon in the Cold War. In the manner of a Renaissance prince - except that it acted secretly - the CIA fostered and promoted American Abstract Expressionist painting around the world for more than 20 years… (continue reading here: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/modern-art-was-cia-weapon-1578808.html)

Saunders’ Book (1999 / rev. 2013)
Overview
The Cultural Cold War: The CIA and the World of Arts and Letters by Frances Stonor Saunders During the Cold War, freedom of expression was vaunted as liberal democracy’s most cherished possession—but such freedom was put in service of a hidden agenda. In The Cultural Cold War , Frances Stonor Saunders reveals the extraordinary efforts of a secret campaign in which some of the most vocal exponents of intellectual freedom in the West were working for or subsidized by the CIA—whether they knew it or not.
Called "the most comprehensive account yet of the [CIA’s] activities between 1947 and 1967" by the New York Times , the book presents shocking evidence of the CIA’s undercover program of cultural interventions in Western Europe and at home, drawing together declassified documents and exclusive interviews to expose the CIA’s astonishing campaign to deploy the likes of Hannah Arendt, Isaiah Berlin, Leonard Bernstein, Robert Lowell, George Orwell, and Jackson Pollock as weapons in the Cold War. Translated into ten languages, this classic work—now with a new preface by the author—is "a real contribution to popular understanding of the postwar period" ( The Wall Street Journal ), and its story of covert cultural efforts to win hearts and minds continues to be relevant today.

MUST LISTEN — Remedy Roundtable 05 – Prof. Jay Courtney Fikes, Lydia & Royce White Calf – “The Lakota, Naropa Institute, and Wounded Knee – From Gen. Custer to Carlos Castaneda” – #220 | Gnostic Media, December 17, 2014
This is a POWERFUL episode where one of the last pure bred Lakota Native Americans, Royce White Calf, who was at Wounded Knee and lived to tell about it, comes on to tell all. His wife Lydia joins us along with Prof. Jay Courtney Fikes – who’s returning for his 4th time.
In this episode we expose more on Native Revivalism, the FBI and CIA attacks on the Lakota nation – including their promotion of the New Age and Neo-Shamanism – and the likes of Carlos Castaneda, and the planned genocide against the only native American nation to seize the US flag – not once, but 3 times.
Royce White Calf is a Lakota from the Oglala Lakota Nation. He is known for leading in the sobriety movement on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in the late 70’s, and his work for the youth in the 1980’s which led Tom Brokaw to give him the Outstanding Young Man of America Award on national television in 1982. He became an active member of the American Indian Movement by 13 years old, during the Wounded Knee Occupation of 1973, and has led in his People’s struggle ever since. He has appeared on CNN and FOX News – featured in an interview regarding Camp Justice and the Reservations mass killings of 1999, which forced President Bill Clinton to come to the Reservation in an attempt to quell another Resistance Movement. Royce has also taken a vehement stand with Russell Means against Columbus Day in Denver Colorado. He has appeared throughout the years on other media coverage, local and national, including the New York Times, The Denver Post, Boulder Daily Camera, The Rapid City Journal, Indian Country Today, and radio both national and internet. In 1995, he was the youngest sitting member of The Great Sioux Nations Treaty Council, in its history.
Lydia White Calf is a non- Indian form Greenwich, Connecticut. By 21, she was a photojournalist based out of Singapore, and stringing for The South China Seas Morning Post, The Bangkok Post, The Jakarta Post, and The New York Times. She also worked for tens of magazines internationally, including Harper’s in Australia, and other magazines throughout the Asian region. She has been published in The London Times, and later moving back to this country, she worked for The Miami Herald and The Palm Beach Daily News. In 1991 she won Best Photo Essay from The Florida Magazine Association for her work in Tibet. A project regarding Fetal Alcohol Syndrome took her to The Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in 1993, where she met Royce White Calf.
Together, they directed a film project for Viacom entitled “The New Indian Wars”, in 1993. They married in 1994, and moved to Boulder Colorado where Lydia wanted to pursue a Masters Degree in Jungian Psychology. While in the BA Program at The Naropa Institute (now The Naropa University), they stood up against administration-wide fraud and became the whistle blowers regarding Cultural Appropriation and Genocide to The Lakota People on Pine Ridge, by Naropa – while also calling attention to the broader widespread issue of Cultural Genocide to Indigenous Peoples of The Western Hemisphere. For this Russell Means also became their Spokesperson. They were asked to be Jurors in 1998 for the Northwest Tribunal On First Nation’s Genocide in Residential Schools in Canada, for which ultimately Dennis Banks came to their assistance for a national statement in 2012. Both issues were heard on the Floor of the United Nations Subcommittee on Human Rights, presented by Alaskan Elder and expert on International Law, Rudy James (of the Thlingit Nation). They have appeared jointly on radio for 15 years, including Native America Calling, and in local and national press. They continue to fight for Indigenous Peoples’ rights and for The Lakota Nation. They currently reside in the mountains above Boulder with their two sons – both Federally Enrolled members of The Oglala Sioux Tribe, in Nederland Colorado.

Is STARHAWK working for the CIA (or some other secretive society with a nefarious agenda)?
National Post, January 2002

Starhawk has been under investigation by American Indians for the past decade. She has appeared on many lists of "plastic shamans" and "ceremony sellers" such as this one at Newagefraud.org:
All the lists I've seen are based on a series of complaints from Native people, not just one person's whim. There are maybe half a dozen of these types of lists on the net, and they are usually compiled by groups.

IIRC, the group who made up that list took issue with Star's behaviour at a rally on NDN land where she and some other people from her group made up a ceremony and led it as part of the action. From what I heard, the Native people there were not consulted about the made up ceremony.

But her offenses have increased, now with supporting dubious, possibly fake "elders" and defying the consensus of the actual Elders of the Oceti Sakowin to behave disruptively and colonially at Standing Rock...She hasn't claimed to be NDN, but she lies about the Celtic traditions, she does pay to pray and vultures from every culture imaginable, she sells fake ceremonies on the nuage circuit, she teaches the lie that "witch" means something good, and, worst of all, she continues to exploit and disrupt and harm Indigenous people and Indigenous events. She is an exploiter and a harmful person, under the guise of being an ecological and spiritual person.

I wish to clarify that those women who were called "witches" were really mid-wives, herbalists, healers, and teachers. They were very good women who did all sorts of good things to help their people, but they never called themselves "witches". The stereotypes we see today in movies, television and the like, of women flying on broomsticks, harming children, doing all sorts of ridiculous things, etc., actually has its roots in the Inquisition. People under torture will admit to anything, as we all know, and today many Wiccans, through ignorance, perpetuate the inquisitors' lies.

The well-known, sensationalized witchunts (called by Wiccans "the burning times") that were aimed at wiping out people who threatened the establishment, or who were obstacles in land grabs, have nothing to do with Celtic spirituality. Though it's common for Neo-Wiccans* like Starhawk/Simos to say otherwise. The witchhunts as a widespread phenomena against normal people were mostly a phenomena on the European continent, not in the Celtic Nations...The lore about protection from witches in the Celtic nations is about dealing with harmful sorcery and those who practice it. It's a living tradition, like in the Americas, and it's taken seriously by those who work to protect people from evildoers.

Simos is not a pretendian, in that she doesn't claim to be Native, rather she's a Neo-Wiccan Witch who has many times now decided her made-up ceremonies are better than Indigenous ones, and she has used her large following of non-Natives to commit offenses on Indigenous lands, and she has shown up to colonize and disrupt Native events. To the best of my knowledge, she has never attempted to apologize, made amends, or even acknowledge her many offenses against Natives...And now she's doing it again. But this time it's even more high-profile and awful. She did not ask any Indigenous people if it would be OK to go to Standing Rock. Like all the other exploiters, she just went for the photo op, [and] the data-mining...
